He is the Research Professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and the President of The Gospel Coalition. He has an extensive ministry across the world as a theologian, scholar, author and pastor. God has used him to equip churches across the globe. His insight into the Bible and the contemporary world has assisted many leaders in many countries. We are privileged that Don will speak from 1 Timothy 3 particularly about the role of the overseer. Dr Gary McIntosh Gary McIntosh is one of the leading church consultants in the USA. He has worked with more than 1,000 churches across a variety of denominations and a variety of church sizes. He has authored more than 22 books on church growth, and many readers testify that “I read the history of my church as I read one of Gary’s books.” Gary has a unique insight into the dynamics of churches and people within the context of God’s sovereignty. Whilst he has travelled in many Western countries, this will be his first visit to Australia. Help your church go to the next level, impacting more people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Next Level conference is designed to help everyone in the leadership team of your church. The conference will provide delegates with both clear and helpful teaching as well as practical advice. Each day we will be privileged to hear Don Carson speak from 1 Timothy 3 about the task and importance of the overseer and Gary McIntosh will help us in the field of church growth and leadership. A priority for each of the two days is to provide insights and concepts that can help you think through the complexities of ministry. We want the conference to be practical. Workshops through the day will help you translate the concepts into concrete actions so each day you will be able to take away new ideas and processes which you can implement to lead positive, effective, and Gospel driven change. The materials will be so practical you will be able to use the lunch break to find your favourite city eatery and begin planning and applying what you hear. Day One will be about delving into understanding your church size, its pros and cons, and then how under God, working to the next level. It is not as simple as it may seem. This has been the bread and butter of Gary McIntosh’s work for more than 30 years. Day Two is about welcoming and integration. Statistically we know this area is so important, and experience shows us most churches struggle. The work of Effective Ministry has suggested this should be a key area of focus for all churches. We highly recommend that you come with your team. Each day will work as a stand alone day if you decide to focus on one area. Register for either day, or register for both.
